Passages Pre-Kindergarten Care
Passages Pre-Kindergarten classes are:
2.5 - 3 hours in length each day
Depending on location, children can attend either 2, 3 or 5 half days per week, either in the morning or the afternoon.
Between birth and 5 years, children learn at a rapid rate. The Pre-Kindergarten program, for pre-school aged children, has a curriculum which fosters learning and assists in smooth transitions to Kindergarten.
Pre-Kindergarten (and Kindergarten) support “Learning through Play”. The program incorporates the best balance of both teacher facilitated thematic programming and open-ended child-led opportunities. The program also recognizes early literacy as the foundation to all learning and incorporates early literacy whenever possible into the day-to-day programming. Pre-Kindergarten is a well-balanced program which addresses all areas of a child's growth; social, emotional, physical and cognitive.
Quest Kinder Care
Quest Kinder Care is:
for children attending CBE and CSSD Kindergarten programs.
an early literacy program whereby children have the opportunity to register for either full or half day programming in conjunction with their 1/2 day Kindergarten class.
Kindergarten children can stay at school for the lunch hour and the duration of the regular school day with an option to add additional care before and after regular school hours.
Kindergarten Care addresses all areas of a child's growth; social, emotional, physical and cognitive. A typical class provides opportunity for center time, circle time, daily art/craft opportunity, music and movement. The program is further enhanced with field trips and in class presentations.
Odyssey Out of School Care
Odyssey Out of School Care is:
for children Grade 1 through grade 6.
children have the option to attend Before Care Only, After Care Only or both Before and After Care.
Out of School Care is a program which children should look forward to attending!The program incorporates the best balance of both teacher facilitated thematic programming and open-ended child-led opportunities. The program is presented through diverse opportunities which include both in class activities and utilization of community resources.
